UpVisit makes AI accessible in Davos

UpVisit makes AI accessible in Davos - World Economic Forum, ETH AI Center, AI House
The app guides through the AI House in Davos during the World Economic Forum.

UpVisit is accompanying visitors to the World Economic Forum this year. The UpVisit app will be available exclusively in the AI House of the World Economic Forum (WEF), which is organized by partners of the ETH AI Center. On site, participants can use the app to explore the AI House, its events, prevailing topics and content on a new level.

Founded by Katharina Aguilar, Alicia Sophie Hinon and Baver Acu, UpVisit offers a platform that event organizers and other analogue ventures such as stores and museums can use to present digital experiences to their customers. At the WEF, the app is available in the AI House and provides visitors with a 3D floor plan for orientation, an event schedule, information on speakers, start-ups in the AI scene and background on the AI House itself. Users can save events and access additional information in order to put together their own personal event plan.

Unique experience makes AI accessible

Thanks to the accompanying content in the UpVisit app, visitors of the AI House have the opportunity to gain a new understanding of a topic that is often difficult to grasp. The app guides participants through the world of artificial intelligence in a playful and experience-oriented way. Despite only a short preparation time, UpVisit created a solution for the AI House in just a few days that offers a new and innovative approach to a complex topic.

Letizia Turri, Director’s Associate at the ETH AI Center says: “We are delighted to be working with UpVisit at this year’s WEF. Thanks to UpVisit, we can offer visitors of the AI House a unique experience and make all topics related to AI even more accessible.”

Katharina Aguilar, CEO and co-founder of UpVisit, is very excited about the opportunity: “It is a great honor to work with the AI House for the World Economic Forum. UpVisit has the potential to expand events of all sizes and offer visitors more immersive experiences. We will prove that in Davos.”

The World Economic Forum will take place January 15th – 19th 2024 in Davos.
