CMT Stuttgart is the world's largest public trade fair for tourism and leisure - and with over 380,000 visitors, a real challenge for orientation, structure and communication. With the UpVisit app, a platform was created that combines digital visitor guidance, curated content and interactive experiences. From 3D navigation and personalized tours to competitions - the app supported guests and exhibitors alike and transformed the trade fair into an intuitive, digital experience.

Over 1,500 exhibitors in 10 exhibition halls, a huge foyer and an outdoor area required new solutions for visitor management.

With 10 halls, a large foyer and extensive outdoor areas, the traditional visitor guidance system was quickly overwhelmed. The aim was to significantly simplify orientation for a diverse audience - from families to travel professionals.

Central platform instead of individual measures

The trade fair was looking for a digital solution that bundles content, facilitates communication and does not require any additional technical effort. Everything had to be centrally controllable and immediately usable - for guests and the organizing team.

Creating an experience for all target groups

Whether sustainable travel, caravanning or vacations with the family: the variety of topics should be made visible through interactive content, guided tours and individual recommendations - without barriers and accessible to all.

The entire trade fair as an interactive map: visitors were able to navigate to their desired stand by touch - filtered by topic and presented in a visually appealing way.

Event calendar & stage program

Whether lecture, show or panel - the entire program was clearly available in the app. Push reminders helped to ensure that no highlight was missed.

Guided tours on special topics

Curated tours, e.g. for families or sustainable travel, guided visitors through specific areas of the trade fair - a real highlight for first-time visitors.

Gamification & competition

Over 35 interactive stations, visitors were able to collect points and take part in the competition - playful, motivating and exhibitor-binding at the same time.
