The AI House was created as part of the World Economic Forum 2024 as a place for future-oriented AI discourse - in the middle of the convoluted center of Davos. Leading minds from science, business and politics discussed on five levels and over 80 program items.
UpVisit made the event navigable, understandable - and interactive: with 3D indoor maps, session overviews, multimedia content and playful elements, the AI House became a sophisticated experience.

Challenges and goals

The venue itself - a residential building - was winding and packed with sessions, deep dives, AI art and networking areas. The goals:

Orientation in the complex venue

The AI House was difficult to navigate. The aim was to guide visitors to specific events, rooms and works of art - using indoor navigation in the 3D model.

Overview of 80+ sessions & 160 speakers

To ensure that no session is missed, a customizable timetable should help to quickly find and save the relevant program.

Digital knowledge & interaction spaces

Visitors should also be able to experience AI alongside the sessions - for example through interactive art or gamification. The aim was to combine knowledge and wow moments.

Innovative features in use

To achieve these goals, AI House Davos relied on the versatile functions of the UpVisit event app:

3D navigation & indoor map

The AI House was a multi-storey, labyrinthine building - and difficult for guests to navigate. The app provided a fully digitized, interactive map that allowed visitors to navigate safely through all the rooms. Whether session rooms, AI art, information counters or networking areas - everything was visible and clickable in the 3D map.

Session plan & personal favorites list

More than 80 sessions and 160 speakers - keeping track of everything was a real challenge. The app enabled visitors to filter and save their own highlights and create individual timetables. This turned the jungle of information into a personal compass.

Gamification with AI scavenger hunt

To combine the depth of the event with a playful element, an interactive scavenger hunt through the AI House was integrated. The aim was to find and scan three AI art pieces - those who completed all the stations received a small give-away. Over 100 people took part - despite the demanding schedule.

QR scans & multimedia content in the room

Targeted notifications informed guests about competitions, program items and the photo wall. This kept interaction high and effectively highlighted important content.

Conclusion: When technology can do more than just inform

The AI House has shown that orientation, interaction and emotion are not a contradiction in terms, even with highly intellectual formats. The UpVisit app connected content, spaces and people - and turned a complex program into a personal experience.
